on .

The City of Salem held their annual Easter Event at the Pioneer Village on Saturday March 23rd, as the sun was shining upon the approximate 300 children and adults who attended.

Each organization and business who participated were responsible for their own activities.  There were crafts, cookies, balloons, popcorn, games, candy, prizes, and the Easter Bunny for the children to enjoy.  Also the Salem Fire Department brought by a fire truck for the children to sit in.

The Salem Public Library, Salem Parks and Recreation Department, John Hay Center staff, Washington County Prevent Child Abuse Council, Tri Kappa Sorority, Salem Fire Department, SOAR!, WSLM, Salem Crossing Health Care, Meadow View Health Care, Hoosier Hills PACT, and the Washington County Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Coalition, and the Salem Mayor’s Office, all took part in the “Egg-stravaganza”.
