Bicentennial Celebration 1814-2014

Residents, organizations, and businesses are reminded to plan their 2014 Bicentennial event. The grand finale celebration will be the weekend after Old Settlers weekend, 2014. The City of Salem and Washington County Chamber of Commerce have many events planned for the weekend of September 26, 27, and 28, 2014. Some events included are fireworks, parade, brunch (free) for the community, petting zoo and pony rides, carnival, and opening of the time capsule at the Salem Public Library. There is also musical entertainment being planned, a home tour, children’s birthday party, summer movies, and renewal of wedding vows, just to name a few events. Events can be planned and held throughout 2014.
