Kimball Adding Jobs to Salem Plant

The City of Salem made an announcement this morning that Kimball International will be bringing approximately 100 new jobs to the Salem Plant over the next two years.

The company is closing a plant in Idaho and moving 160 jobs to Southern Indiana: Salem and Jasper.

Mayor David Bower is thrilled with the news and hopes this puts the minds of Kimball employees at ease for the holidays. "Residents in Salem should sleep better knowing that plant isn't going to close," he said.
