The vendors of the Washington County Farmers’ Market broke their record of 57lbs last week by donating 68lbs of produce this week to local Food Bank. If you would like to aid the local Food Bank, there will be a collection box at this weeks market, the market will match what you donate. The motto for the day," Buy one for yourself and one for a neighbor".
The “First Saturday of the Month” the Washington County Farmers’ Market will hold a “Big Zucchini Weigh-in”, the official weigh-in will be at 10:00 to 10:30 am. So bring in your extra large zucchini for prizes and surprises. Contest open to vendors and public.
The Washington County Farmers’ Market opens Saturday 8:30 am to 12:30pm and beginning July 2nd Tuesday evenings 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm, Washington County Fair Grounds. Correction from last week’s news release the market will open Tuesday evening beginning July 2nd at 4:30pm.
