Join the fun at the Pioneer Village on the grounds of the John Hay Center (Behind the Steven's Museum) on East Market Street for the "Haunted Pioneer Village". The evening of family friendly Halloween fun will be on October 26th from 6:00pm - 7:30pm.
The Pioneer Village will be decorated for Halloween and full of fun filled activities sponsored by volunteers from the following:

- Salem Parks and Recreation
- Salem Fire & Police Department
- Salem Mayor's Office
- The Pollack Family
- Rotary Club of Salem
- WSLM Radio
- Wash Co. Prevent Child Abuse Council
- Washington County SOAR!
- Meadow View Health & Rehab
- Kirk Elliott & Local Boy Scouts
- Scotty’s Sanitation
- Washington Co. Sheriff's Department
Salem Community children will receive free cookies, hot dogs, trick or treat bags, hot chocolate, and candy! Other special activities only the haunted spirits will know until the night of the event. A "spookier" area is planned this year for older kids. You never know who may be lurking in the shadows of the Pioneer Village.

We will also be showing a terrific Halloween Movie in the Stevens Museum basement at 6:45pm. You must pick up a ticket at the Salem Park and Recreation building during the party. Only the first 60 people will be admitted due to limited space. The movie is free admission with a ticket. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
