The Washington County Soil and Water Conservation District would like to announce they are now accepting applications from homeowners and landowners impacted by the March 2, 2012 tornado made possible through a grant from March2Recovery. Qualifying participants must be in tornado damaged areas that experienced tree damage or erosion issues due to the tornado or its aftermath. Practices that are eligible for reimbursement include but are not limited to: tree plantings, vegetative planting/restoration, erosion control, stump removal, and debris removal. Field visits will be completed to determine eligibility. Practices completed must meet NRCS standards and specifications. Funding is available for all eligible expenses and is a first come first served opportunity.
