Solar Eclipse Public Meeting

The City of Salem would like to invite local businesses, public officials and community organizations to an informative meeting regarding the 2024 Solar Eclipse which will take place on Monday, April 8. As a community located in the totality of the eclipse, we anticipate visitors to the area over the weekend leading up to Monday’s eclipse.  Please join us on Thursday, February 8 at 10 a.m. at City Hall in the Council Chambers to learn more about public safety efforts, lodging, traffic flow, parking and more.
